At No Maintenance Decking & Trim, we believe that periodic cleaning is all you should ever do to your deck, which is why we specialize in plastic decking. We carry the complete lines of Trex, TimberTech Azek and Tandeck Decking which are all plastic decking in their decking lines. As a former deck builder (25 years), I’ve utilized many different decking products.  Some of these alternative products are so poorly made that you may do better with a wood deck.  We offer our customers what we believe are the best decking materials available at the best possible price.
Customers who purchase wood composites think they are buying a low maintenance product that they hope would last a long time. What they are getting is a product that will fade, stain and is highly susceptible to composite mold.  We know that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link.  The weak link in all wood & plastic composites is the WOOD, which is actually sawdust made from waste materials.  When sawdust is added to the mix as cheap filler, the product will not hold the color and will begin to fade as soon as you install it.  Wood is a material that absorbs water and bacteria.  This bacteria feeds on the wood to produce the mold and in six months you see on  composite deck products.  In plain language, the decking is rotting from within on the day you install it.
At No Maintenance Decking & Trim we have done all the homework for you. We’ve looked at all of the products currently in the marketplace.  Some have very good features and others are not much different than all the rest.  We carry four brands with almost 20 different colors of all plastic decking and since they are all good, the only determining factor is the color. (maybe the determining factor.) The next factor to consider is railings: do you want a rail or maybe because of height, need them? If so,  railings are available in white or in a color to match your deck. Trex carries a very versatile railing line that allows the homeowner to mix colors to obtain a unique look for you deck.   Fascia boards cover the rim joists and are available in white & other colors to match the decking.
Plastic decking is different from wood decking and the benefits far outweigh the detriments. The positives are that the decking will hold its color many times longer than all wood composites.  This coupled with the fast soap and water cleanup makes it an easy decision.  The negatives are that all plastic decking will expand and contract with temperature fluctuations more so than wood decking.  Cost is always a concern.   Trex Escapes, TimberTech XLM and Azek 6” deck board will cost about 15% more than Trex Accents or Timbertech TwinFinish where Tandeck will cost about the same as Trex Accents.
